１リーグ制再燃か？

球界関係者は、「阪神電鉄の筆頭株主に躍り出た村上ファンドは、もともと立ち上げの段階で、親密な関係にあるオリックス・バファローズの宮内義彦オーナー（オリックスＣＥＯ）の協力を仰いだ経緯がある。今回の株取得騒動はプロ野球界で、阪神とオリックスの合併につながる可能性が否定できない。さらに、三木谷社長主導で横浜と楽天の合併だってありうる。そうなったら、１０球団１リーグ構想が再燃するだろう」と分析する。

１リーグ再燃というのは憶測の感が否めない記事ではあるが、ＵＳＥＮが横浜Ｂを買うといううわさもある（スポーツニッポン１０月１５日）。

楽天とＴＢＳの経営統合が実現すれば、新たな球界再編問題に発展する可能性は極めて高い。楽天は２１日の実行委員会で他球団に、これまでの経緯を報告するが、球団関係者は「経営統合した場合の選択肢は、楽天と横浜が合併するか、どちらかの球団を売却するかの２つに１つという話もする」と明言した。球界関係者からは、早くも複数球団の保有に反対の声が上がっている。ただ、昨年の新規参入から協約改正を強く訴えてきたのも楽天。実行委員会と１１月４日に三木谷オーナーも出席するオーナー会議で、球団（横浜）との利害関係がないと認められ、今回の問題にも対応する協約に改正される方向でまとまれば、１２球団で現状維持となる可能性も残されている。仮にどちらかの球団が売却される事態となれば、新たに参入する企業は１１月３０日までに日本プロ野球組織の承認を得なければならず、今後も予断を許さない状況は続く。

１３日の未明の時点で切込隊長が楽天イーグルス消滅をほのめかしているのは冗談だと思っていたが、『そもそも渡辺会長は昨年の再編騒動について、「ホリエモンを（球界参入から）排除するために、僕が三木谷さんに来てもらった」と漏らしたことがある。（夕刊フジの記事）』としたら１リーグ制を首謀していたナベツネの思惑が現実的に思えなくも無い。楽天にとっても、セリーグＡクラスの横浜と合併し１リーグになれば美味しすぎる。

１リーグ制はパリーグの赤字球団にとって良くても他にいい事など無いだろう。ＭＬＢでは６つの地区リーグがあり、シーズン終了時点でワイルドカードを含め、８球団に優勝の可能性がある。この８球団のトーナメントはシーズン中の試合よりも収益性が高いだろう。ＭＬＢの収益は球団毎に独立しているのでなく、ＭＬＢの収益が上がれば球団すべてにとってハッピーなように出来ているので、問題の根は日本のプロ野球機構に力がないことでもある。パリーグのプレーオフで千葉のスタジアムの満員ぶりを見ると、やはり優勝の望みこそファンにとって応援モチベーションが高揚するのではないだろうか。

千葉ｖｓ埼玉も今行われている福岡ｖｓ千葉もスタンドの盛り上がりに呼応するようにいい試合をしているのに、僕の地域では地上波で放送していなかった（多分）。これもまたプロ野球機構に球界全体を良くしようとする存在意義があれば、プロモーション、営業努力によって、収益性をあげるべき行動があってしかるべきだろう。昨年だってパリーグのプレーオフはすごくいい試合だった。

福岡ｖｓ千葉では、福岡が２連敗し昨年同様、シリーズ制覇したにもかかわらず日本シリーズ進出できないという崖っぷちにいる。これには２位３位の決定戦を経たチームに対して試合カンを損なうと言われている通りだと思う。セリーグも優勝が決まってから長い時間があり、今年もパリーグ覇者の日本シリーズ制覇を予想してしまう。ここにもＭＬＢのような、シーズン終了からワールドシリーズのような連続的な緊張感が欠けていると感じる。

今年のＭＬＢは例年に無く、各地区優勝争いも終盤までもつれていた。これは多くの球団が存在し交流戦を多数やれば、もつれやすくなるんじゃないだろうか。例えばアメリカンリーグ中地区のインディアンズは優勝したホワイトソックスに５勝１４敗と大きく負け越しているが、交流戦では大きく勝ち越し９月の最終週まで地区優勝の望みがあったし、レッドソックスとヤンキースとのワイルドカードは最後まで混戦でした。ナショナルリーグ東地区優勝のブレーブスは東地区では勝ち越しているが、勝率５割が優勝ラインだった西地区に負け越している。２位のフィリーズは逆に大きく勝ち越し、ワイルドカードは最後まで分かりませんでした。

ＭＬＢの６つの地区リーグは４球団のところもあれば、６球団のところもあり、なんで歪なのだろうと思ったが、交流戦さえ活発であれば、多様なリーグがあるほうが、かえって面白いのかもしれない。日本も１リーグにするより、３リーグ覇者と一つのワイルドカードで４チームによるトーナメントの日本シリーズが可能ではないだろうか。パリーグの３チームによるプレイオフの欠陥も補える。

ＭＬＢ主導で来年ワールドカップが開かれるようで、楽しみが一つ増えたのには違いないが、僕が求めたいのは、国境を越えた球団によるチャンピオンシップである。サッカーでいう所のクラブ選手権である。僕は中国、韓国、日本にはびこる古臭い民族主義を払拭する可能性を感じる。日本のサッカー人気は、まだサッカー人気なのではなく、日本代表を中心とした民族主義気分をくすぐるマーケットで成り立っている側面もあるのではないかと思う。それはそれで僕も盛り上がるが、アジアのクラブ選手権は悪いけど興味を持ってなかった。（注：今年から違うかも）

映画にしろゲームにしろエンターテイメントがより面白く、より多くの資本投下するには、グローバル化しマーケットを拡大せざるを得ない。プロ野球の人気が頭打ちで視聴率が低下している。それじゃ球団減らして、一球団あたりの国内マーケットのおこぼれを拡大なんてのは、保身的であさましい。外国人枠など取っ払うか、あるいは韓国、台湾、オーストラリア、中国の選手は枠の対象外にするなどして、日本のプロ野球のマーケットをこれらの時差の少ない地域へ拡販すべきだと思う。野球を娯楽やビジネスと考えれば当然だと思う。野球は日本の文化だとか言ってる人はどうか知らんが。

ただし韓国、台湾、オーストラリア、中国のプロ野球リーグとの連携も必要だと思う。プロ野球人気万全の時代なら利他行為と言えたかもしれないが、国内市場が頭打ちの現在は、共存共栄を模索すべきだろう。まずはアジア球団のチャンピオンシリーズがあれば良いと思う。日本のドラフトにもれたり、一度挫折した若い人なんかは、韓国や台湾、オーストラリアにどんどん挑戦してみればいいと思う。そしたらチャンピオンシリーズであちらの球団を応援する日本人もでてくるだろうし、もちろん逆に日本で活躍するアジアの選手を応援する人もいるだろう。

国対国の対決ではなく、多国籍を許容した球団同士の対決である事に意味があると思う。ヨーロッパのクラブ選手権を見ると思う。ヨーロッパの人は本当にサッカーが好きだなと。

注：今年から違うかも: ヨーロッパと南米のクラブチャンピオンで争われたトヨタカップは今年から６大陸のクラブ王者の対決となった。アジア代表はまだ決まっていないが、日本のチームは既に敗退しており残念だが、大会には興味がある。スポーツナビのトヨタカップに関する記事を見ていただければ、ＪＦＡが２０５０年までビジョンを持っていることが分かる。僕生きてんのかな。日本のプロ野球機構の役立たずのジジイどもには到底描けぬビジョンだろう。自球団のことしか考えられぬ腐れオーナーもしかり。昨年の騒動で活躍したヤクルトの古田捕手は来期からの監督兼業を受託する方向のようだが、選手会も辞めるのかな？
